Expansion and Integration of New Systems Result in Fivefold Increase in Production Capacity to 100 Tons/MonthRajasthan, India – EF Polymer, a pioneer in the development of 100% organic super absorbent polymer (SAP), announced today the expansion and relocation of its manufacturing plant in Rajasthan, India. The mass production of products commencing on Saturday, May 11.OverviewSince 2020, EF Polymer has operated its production facility in the suburbs of Udaipur, Rajasthan, initially introducing sales to Japan in 2021 and subsequently expanding to the U.S. market in 2022. The increasing demand for 100% organic superabsorbent polymers, driven by climate change-induced water shortages and rising fertilizer prices, has led to heightened interest in EF Polymer's agricultural solutions across Europe, South America, and Asia. With growing environmental concerns and stricter regulations, there's a notable shift towards organic polymers as sustainable alternatives to conventional petroleum-based super absorbent polymers. In response to this evolving market landscape, EF Polymer is fortifying its production capabilities. The newly established plant boasts a monthly polymer production capacity of 100 tons, approximately five times that of its predecessor, achieving significant enhancements in production efficiency through process revisions and automation.About the New PlantAligned with the plant's expanded scale, EF Polymer has implemented advanced systems and technologies to optimize manufacturing processes. The introduction of PLC and SCADA systems aims to augment production efficiency across all operations ensuring heightened security and confidentiality. To enhance efficiency on the production line, the plant has incorporated complementary machinery, including bucket elevators for raw material filling and automated bagging and labeling machines for packaging, thus minimizing reliance on manual labor. Moreover, a dedicated quality control laboratory has been established to diligently monitor raw materials and finished products, guaranteeing adherence to stringent quality standards.Narayan Gurjar, Founder and CEO of EF Polymer, said, "The primary objective of this expansion and relocation is to extend our products' reach to farmers worldwide. We are dedicated to fostering sustainability within and beyond our facilities, employing unique approaches to meet international standards and certifications. Moreover, this factory not only strengthens our capacity to produce agricultural polymers but also facilitates the expansion of our manufacturing endeavors in non-agricultural polymer products, marking another milestone in our journey towards a sustainable future vision."EF Polymer anticipates sales of around 400 tons this year, with a focus on key markets including India, Japan, the U.S., France, and Thailand. Additionally, the company is actively pursuing Series B financing in the current and upcoming fiscal years to fuel further expansion efforts.
